CSEC’s Employees Making a Difference at CHEO! - December 21, 2011
On 21 December 2011, on behalf of CSEC employees, Mr. John Adams, Chief of the Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC), presented a cheque in the amount of $22,420.45 to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Foundation.
The funds raised during the CSEC 2011 Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) will be used to buy one transport anaesthesia system and two patient controlled analgesic pumps. These three pieces of equipment were part of CHEO’s priority list for 2011. The equipment CSEC’s donation will purchase will help children on a daily basis as they receive treatment at CHEO. This is the third year that CSEC has earmarked funds to be donated to CHEO in the context of the GCWCC; this year’s contribution brings the total donation to $60,723.45. CSEC employees raised a total of $242,575.00 for the 2011 GCWCC.
