Cyber security is a key part of CSE’s mandate. We use our technical expertise to safeguard the information and systems that Canadians rely on every day.
Through CSE’s Canadian Centre for Cyber Security, we:
- defend Government of Canada networks
- advise and assist other levels of government and the operators of Canada’s critical infrastructure, such as banks, telecommunications companies and other companies that are essential for the functioning of our society and economy
- offer simple and effective tips that all Canadians can use to help keep themselves safer online
We work closely with:

- provinces, territories, and municipalities
- critical infrastructure
- Canadian businesses
- academics
- international partners
We raise Canada’s cyber security bar so Canadians can live and work online safely and with confidence.
