Canadian Centre for Cyber Security

Canadian Centre for Cyber Security - Centre canadien pour la cybersécurité

As a key initiative of the 2018 National Cyber Security Strategy the cyber security functions from three departments will be united to establish the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (the Cyber Centre) as one unique, innovative, and forward-looking organization, as part of the Communications Security Establishment (CSE).

The creation of the Cyber Centre is a major milestone in the way the government approaches cyber security. Please see the CSE backgrounder for more information on the Cyber Centre.

On June 12, 2018, Defence Minister Harjit S. Sajjan announced Mr. Scott Jones as the first Head of the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (Cyber Centre). Please see Mr. Jones’ biography for more information about his career at CSE.
