The NSERC-CSE Research Communities Grants aim to fund research communities to conduct research on cutting-edge technologies in areas of strategic importance to CSE and the Government of Canada. This is a partnership between CSE and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).

About the funding

  • Duration: Up to four years
  • Funding by call: $1,400,000 per year (1 large project) or $700,000 per year (2 small projects)
  • Number of calls: Four between 2023 and 2028

Purpose

NSERC-CSE Research Communities Grants will:

  • build awareness within the Canadian academic community of research problems of interest to CSE and to Canada’s national security and cyber security
  • enable Canadian researchers to generate new knowledge in domains of national interest to Canada
